Experience Required:
  • Senior Specialist Exp.: 10+ years in IT; 7+ years in concentration
  • Employees in this job function are responsible for translating desired business capabilities into o solution concepts and models and their requirements (functional and technical) o Design strategies, technology patterns and service structures.
  • Accountable for architecture and information management guidance and governance processes.
  • Responsible for enterprise capability integration by describing and evaluating the opportunities for integration and alignment of information and process flows, selecting appropriate implementation strategies, and defining technology mechanisms required. (Applies to: enterprise level, portfolio level.)
  • Compiles, develops and aligns architectural models of current and proposed capabilities and solutions across the enterprise to support strategy and investment decisions, portfolio management, program and project management, solution and service design and development and service management. (Applies to: enterprise level, portfolio level, program/project level, technology level.)
  • Drives information integration, information standards, and information management through capability and value analysis and assessment. (Applies to: enterprise level, portfolio level, program/project level.)
  • Delivers architecture artefacts (business, information, data, process, solution, application, service, technology, infrastructure architectures) to solution, service and technology delivery initiatives, programs and projects. Sets architecture and design direction (technologies, patterns, design principles, development frameworks) in cooperation with project management and system design/development. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides direction and support to project teams by translating business capabilities into well-defined
  • Projects/programs with clear objectives and deliverables.
  • Visualizes and communicates architecture concepts, principles, strategies, and models for programs, initiatives, and domains.
  • Facilitates architecture discussions with cross-functional business sponsors and product lines to ensure alignment.
  • Participates as a member or facilitator in relevant business/IT governance processes.
  • Ensures alignment between architecture projects and standards and related IT projects and plans by working with appropriate IT and business management.
  • Develops recommendations which will improve the business value of IT projects and plans.
  • Sets direction and approves future state architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps for/across business functions.
  • Drives architecture-related research to further mature architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps.
  • Directs and approves innovations and/or prototypes based on research and approves recommendations on architecture, tools, methodologies, and/or processes.
  • Facilitates architecture governance and ensures adherence to architecture standards.
  • Obtains buy-in for architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps from appropriate business and IT leaders.
  • Promotes benefits and value of architecture and architecture management to the business and IT senior management.
  • Provides guidance on strategy and planning in support of overall prioritization and portfolio planning
