The North Carolina Department of Administration is seeking applicants for a registered Architect for our State Construction Division. The State Construction Division is responsible for the administration of planning, design, and construction of all state facilities, including the university and community college systems. This division also provides the architectural and engineering services necessary to carry out the Capital Improvement Program for all state institutions and agencies.

The agency's mission directs departmental efforts to: acquire, develop and maintain properties and facilities; create and operate an efficient system to purchase and dispose of goods and services to meet the needs of government agencies; provide excellent operational services to state employees; achieve fair and equitable opportunities and representation for various segments of the population that have special needs; and to provide administrative support to independent state government agencies.

Bachelor's degree in architecture or an engineering discipline related to the area of assignment from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of related experience as a registered architect; or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience. Necessary Special Qualifications - Valid license to practice architecture granted by the North Carolina Board of Architecture.
