AR Analyst

Our client, a well-established corporate organization near Tempe, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an AR professional who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment and enjoys working with large volumes of customer accounts, reconciliations, and reporting. This is Monday-Friday, fully onsite, compensating between $28/hr-$30/hr.

The company is specifically seeking candidates with true corporate Accounts Receivable experience. Candidates whose AR background is exclusively within healthcare billing, medical collections, or insurance claims processing will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and monitor outstanding receivable balances
  • Perform account reconciliations and research payment discrepancies
  • Analyze aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts
  • Partner with customers and internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Process cash applications and ensure accurate posting of customer payments
  • Review deductions, short payments, and unapplied cash
  • Prepare AR reporting and provide analysis on collection trends and account status
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable
  • Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation
  • Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for increased efficiency

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of corporate Accounts Receivable experience required

  • Experience working in a large-scale corporate accounting environment

  • Strong understanding of AR processes, reconciliations, cash applications, collections, and aging analysis

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including:

  • Pivot Tables

  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

  • Advanced formulas and data analysis

  • Large data set management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
