AR Accounting TechnicianAs the Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for managing billing cycles for various services, compiling monthly financial reports, and maintaining accurate, detailed records.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack payments from campus customers and vendorsGenerate and process internal departmental transfers (IDTs) and invoicesMaintain and manage collection accountsReconcile and audit PCard transactions for accuracyControl and maintain financial accounts of moderate variety and complexityProvide financial guidance to colleagues and ensure accuracy and complianceOversee Accounts Receivable email inquiries and respond promptlyReview and analyze data for reporting and decision-makingServe as a liaison with other departments and external organizationsManage and prepare accounting records, invoices, and supporting documentationEnsure accurate billing and timely payment processing using the AiM Work Management SystemReconcile monthly financial records with the University's encumbrances and aging reportsSubmit manual billings to departments and ensure accurate account postings in the WolfPack Reporting System (WRS)Compile, manage, and maintain accounts receivable tracking and reporting spreadsheetsPrepare and analyze monthly financial reports to monitor ongoing and closed projectsEnsure compliance with University Financial Reconciliation RequirementsMonitor outstanding receivables and handle collections in coordination with the Controller's Office and Attorney General's OfficeOther ResponsibilitiesOther duties as assignedMinimum Experience/EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.Preferred QualificationsProgressive experience working in the field of accounting.Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office, AERES, Aim, Wolf Reports, PeopleSoft, and CAPS and or current software for tracking accounting and budget data, email, word processing, spreadsheets, database, and information collection is requiredBenefitsMedical, Dental, and VisionFlexible Spending AccountRetirement ProgramsDisability PlansLife InsuranceAccident PlanPaid Time Off and Other Leave Programs12 Holidays Each YearTuition and Academic AssistanceAnd so much more!Equal Opportunity EmploymentNC State University is an equal opportunity employer.
