DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in daily waterpark operation
- Assist with Ellis and IRT training for lifeguards and staff
- Seek and encourage advancement opportunities for qualified and interested team members
- Work to maintain a safe, efficient, and inclusive environment
- Provide immediate Guest Service Recovery as necessary
- Model and enforce all company and department goals, values, policies, and procedures
- Maintain a general knowledge of the entire waterpark operation
- Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of schedules
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining Team Members
- Coach, counsel, and discipline team members and coordinate documentation
- Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies according to the Emergency Action Plan (EAP)
- Evaluate team members with continued in-service training and audits
- Assists with the cleanliness of the waterpark
- Perform lifeguard duties as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 16 years old
Working towards high school diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum 1-year leadership experience in a high volume, guest-facing hospitality field or amusement/theme park; Aquatics facility/Waterpark preferred
Must be able to speak in front of groups of people
Project a positive image to team members and guests
Ability to inspire and motivate team members to work together and exceed company and guest expectations
Obtain and maintain Ellis and Associates (E&A) Lifeguard Training Program certification
Keep certifications current through monthly in-service training
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to perform and document proper inspections and audits of attractions, slides, emergency equipment and other essential items
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Valid driver’s license
Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to react well under stressful and emergency situations
Available and willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain
