The Aquatics Coordinator role in Penfield, NY is a temporary position paying $20/hr, with a free YMCA membership.
Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9am-5pm.
Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, the Coordinator provides support to ensure quality aquatics programs and positive member experiences.
Key duties include assisting with swim lessons, swim team activities, program logistics, communication with families, and supporting certification courses.
The role involves direct participation in lessons, lifeguarding, and event support, along with administrative tasks such as record keeping and inventory management.
Requirements include at least 18 years old, current lifeguarding and CPR/AED certifications, YMCA Swim Instructor certification (or within 60 days), strong communication skills, and physical ability to stand, lift, and stay in the pool for extended periods.
Preferred qualifications include Lifeguard Instructor certification.
