Assistant Dryland Coach
Job Summary
JCC Mid-Westchester Stingrays is seeking an experienced Dryland Coach, overseeing design and implementation of dryland training and instruction for Stingrays swimmers aged 9-18 under the direction of the coaches. This role encompasses coaching responsibilities, management, administrative tasks, and other duties delegated by the Head Swim Coach and/or Director of Aquatics. The Dryland coach will play a pivotal role in advancing and nurturing the athletes on the USA Swim competitive and noncompetitive recreational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Dryland Program Design & Instruction:
Design and implement age-specific dryland training programs (ages 9-18) to enhance athletic performance for competitive swimmers.
Develop curriculum and skills training that focuses on:
Core strength, balance, and flexibility as foundational elements.
Compound movements (upper/lower body integration) and explosive power (jumps, plyometrics).
Rotational strength for stroke efficiency and shoulder prehabilitation to prevent injury.
Isometric holds and dynamic exercises build muscular endurance and stability.
Evaluate and track athlete progress
Adapt athlete development programs to align with swim season goals and competition schedules
