This position supports the Army Prepositioned Stocks - 4 Program located in Camp Carroll, Korea. The Readiness Technician will comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, local safety policies, and KBR's Zero Harm program.

Job Summary

The Readiness Technician performs as the primary point of contact for the Net-centric Unit Status Report (NetUSR), responsible for maintaining classified and unclassified records, files, reports, and forms in accordance with AR 25-2 (Information Assurance) and AR 25-400-2 (ARIMS). The Readiness Technician prepares USR Reports IAW AR 220-1 and AR 700-138, Army Logistics Readiness and Sustainability; analyzes unit MTOE/TDA; evaluates requirements; and researches and inputs/updates Unit Identification Code (UIC) data for an Armored Brigade Combat Team, Separate Reportable Units, and Sustainment Brigade UICs initiated by HQDA.

The position coordinates preparation and submission of UIC reports through the Defense Readiness Reporting System - Army (DRRS-A), including data additions, deletions, transfers, and changes on a periodic basis and as organizational identity or status changes occur. The Readiness Technician performs periodic audits of the UIC database to ensure accuracy and serves as the primary point of contact for the AFSBn-NEA on UIC-related issues. Provides logistical support to major and secondary managers in supply and maintenance divisions; attends planning sessions; and develops and organizes logistics program data and information into project papers, reports, briefings, and studies to improve processes.

The position evaluates and prepares equipment loan requests to validate that the correct equipment configuration is requested and identifies substitute equipment to meet unit requirements; prepares cost estimates for equipment preparation, issue, and return; and develops reports to capture, calculate, and report based on historical equipment issues. Performs other duties as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport.

  • Possess an active Secret Clearance.

  • Ability to provide documentation to qualify as US EXPAT Invited Contractor Status and SOFA Visa IAW USFK 700-19 Regulation.

  • Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Management, Business Management, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in the logistics or readiness field may be substituted for part or all of the education requirement if deemed in the best interest of the company.

  • In lieu of formal course work, a combination of college credits, on-the-job training, other formalized training, or experience may be considered.

  • Eight to ten years of logistics, readiness, or operational experience, with five years in a management or supervisory capacity.

  • Working knowledge of GCSS-Army to provide supply data processing support on a daily basis and as requested.

  • Working knowledge of Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) requirements and ability to compute resource levels required against those on hand.

  • Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements; analyze processes; and analyze maintenance, logistics, or other operations to determine methods of improvement for readiness.

  • Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

  • Required to pass initial and periodic drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Certificate from a vocational school or other recognized source, such as a military school with a major study in logistics, supply, or readiness operations, is preferred.

  • Prior experience with DRRS-A, NetUSR, and UIC management in a Brigade-level or higher logistics environment.
