Preferred experience as an APRN/PA-C in critical care, emergency medicine or Internal Medicine.\n \n\u00a7 The successful candidate will be a superior communicator, an engaged team member, dedicated, collaborative and a knowledgeable, patient focused provider. \n \nResponsibilities:\n \n\u00a7 Provides patient critical care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with many specialists to coordinate and optimize patient care.\n \n\u00a7 Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.\n \n\u00a7 Formulates treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice.\n \n\u00a7 May perform minor surgical bedside procedures within scope of practice.\n \n\u00a7 Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within the scope of practice.\n \n\u00a7 Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.\n \nAdditional Information:\n \n\u00a7 This full time position for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), for inpatient care of patients who have a presently or potentially life-threatening medical or surgical condition. \n \n\u00a7 The position will specifically cover day shift. The role may span the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care, research, and education.\n \nCredentials and Qualifications: \n \n\u00a7 Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.\n \n\u00a7 Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program.\n \n\u00a7 Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and national certification by the appropriate accreditation body.\n \n\u00a7 Active BLS and ACLS.
