The Approvals and Alignment Coordinator supports the Curriculum Compliance and School Support Supervisor in coordinating curriculum and course approval processes, standards alignment reviews, and school-facing compliance needs. This role focuses on execution, documentation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure curriculum programs meet regulatory requirements and are positioned for successful implementation in schools.
The coordinator works closely with internal curriculum teams and school stakeholders to support approval submissions, maintain alignment documentation, and assist with compliance-related processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely completion of approval and alignment workstreams that contribute to improved student outcomes.

The Approvals and Alignment Coordinator supports the Curriculum Compliance and School Support Supervisor in coordinating curriculum and course approval processes, standards alignment reviews, and school-facing compliance needs. This role focuses on execution, documentation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure curriculum programs meet regulatory requirements and are positioned for successful implementation in schools.

The coordinator works closely with internal curriculum teams and school stakeholders to support approval submissions, maintain alignment documentation, and assist with compliance-related processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely completion of approval and alignment workstreams that contribute to improved student outcomes.

  • Write detailed course documentation for review and approval processes at the school, district, and state level.
  • Maintain consistent documentation about courses and products approved for use in states, districts, and schools.
  • Support the coordination and tracking of curriculum and course approval processes, including maintaining timelines, documentation, and submission materials.
  • Provide expertise and consultation on the integration of third-party content and resources.
  • Work collaboratively with third-party curriculum partners to obtain documentation consistent with that of K12 courses.
  • Coordinate alignment requests to both state/national academic standards and test blueprints, including the creation, verification, and distribution of documentation for alignments, both for internal PD curriculum creation purposes and to satisfy the needs of stakeholders external to the department, including those within the school services, school management, new business development, marketing, and sales groups.
  • Complete accurate alignments and templates for alignments as needed.
  • Support schools in gathering and organizing required materials for compliance reporting, audits, and authorizer requests.
  • Collaborate on teacher support documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, summaries, and materials for internal stakeholders, including leadership updates and approval status tracking.
  • Serve as a point of coordination across teams to ensure timely communication and completion of approvals and alignment-related tasks.
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support curriculum compliance and school support initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field
  • Three (3) years of experience related to curriculum development, conventional or online; electronic, digital, or broadcast forms of educational curricula; school administration.
  • Experience successfully managing multiple high-stakes projects.
  • Familiarity with state standards, curriculum alignment, or approval processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
