DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- An Apprentice Meat Cutter follows safety and regulatory standards for receiving, processing, and storing meat products
- Learning about fish, seafood, and meat products
- Responding to guest questions about ingredients, preparation, and equipment
- Assisting with selecting, purchasing, and maintaining high-quality meat products
- Learning proper cutting, processing, rotating, and merchandising techniques
- May serve as a Fishmonger, learning seafood handling and filleting
MINIMUM AGE: 18 years
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS
- Work in a store environment with exposure to hot or cold conditions
- Regularly grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, reaching, and performing repetitive motions
- Standing, walking, bending, and maneuvering objects up to 30 pounds
