Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated pprentice Electrician to support electrical and instrumentation installation activities for industrial and automation projects in Plano, TX. This is a hands-on contract role working under the direct supervision of a Journeyman Electrician, providing an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of a Journeyman Electrician to support electrical installation and maintenance activities
  • Read and interpret basic diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit
  • Install tubing for instrumentation systems
  • Pull, route, and label wiring through conduit systems
  • Connect wiring to controllers, instruments, and PLC panels
  • ssist with mounting instruments and PLCs using hand and power tools
  • Support testing of circuits using tools such as multimeters (voltage, current, resistance)
  • ssist in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing wiring and connections
  • Observe installed systems to identify hazards or necessary adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
Tools & Equipment Used
  • Hand tools and power tools (drills, saws, etc.)
  • Conduit cutters and threading equipment
  • Multimeters (volt/amp/ohm meters)
  • Tubing benders and cutters
Required Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems or relevant technical training preferred
