Applications Engineer / Delta Controls BAS Programmer
Location: Remote with up to 20% travel

About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Delta Controls Applications Engineer / BAS Programmer to design, program, commission, and support building automation systems for commercial, institutional, and mission-critical facilities. This position is best suited for someone with strong hands-on experience using the Delta Controls platform who enjoys solving complex controls challenges and delivering reliable, high-performing BAS solutions.

Working alongside project managers, engineers, and field technicians, you'll be responsible for programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing Delta Controls systems from project startup through completion.

Responsibilities
  • Program, configure, and commission Delta Controls BAS/DDC systems for HVAC and mechanical equipment.
  • Develop controller logic, graphics, alarms, schedules, trends, and operator interfaces using Delta software tools.
  • Configure and troubleshoot BACnet networks and third-party integrations.
  • Commission and support Delta controllers, field devices, and building automation networks.
  • Diagnose and resolve controller, programming, communication, and integration issues.
  • Interpret sequences of operation, control drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans.
  • Integrate equipment including AHUs, RTUs, chillers, boilers, VFDs, cooling towers, pumps, terminal units, and energy meters.
  • Maintain project databases, backups, as-built documentation, and programming standards.
  • Work closely with project management, engineering, installation, and service teams throughout project execution.
  • Support startup, commissioning, functional testing, and ongoing optimization of BAS systems.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on Delta Controls programming and commissioning experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Delta enteliWEB, ORCAview, enteliBUS, Red5, eBCON, and Delta controllers (DAC/DSC or current product lines).
  • Experience programming HVAC control sequences for commercial building automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, networking, and controller communications.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and sequences of operation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in live building environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Delta Controls certification or Delta Controls Partner experience.
  • Experience with mission-critical, healthcare, laboratory, higher education, or data center projects.
  • Exposure to PLC, SCADA, or power monitoring systems.
  • Degree or technical training in Engineering, Controls, HVAC, or a related field.
