Title: Applications Engineer

Job type: Full time| Exempt.

Location: Collinsville, Oklahoma

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 / year

 Summary:

Proposal Development:

• Write formal technical and commercial proposals, including scope of supply, pricing, and any exceptions/clarifications.
• Work with drafting to develop proposal drawings.
• Revise designs to optimize proposals for customer needs.
• Sales Support:
  • Assist sales managers and representatives with account development.
  • Follow up with clients and reps on proposal status and updates.
  • Attend bid clarification/proposal review meetings at client offices.
  • Support representative offices with product training, literature, and presentations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with project management to ensure accurate handoff of sold projects.
  • Work with purchasing to obtain vendor pricing, availability, and delivery data.
  • Communicate customer specifications to relevant departments for review.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify ways to improve proposal development workflows and present them to sales leadership.
• Risk & Pricing Management:
  • Estimate costs, recommend pricing strategies, and identify potential risk exposures with mitigation suggestions.

Key Requirements / Must-Haves

• Education & Experience:
  • B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 1–5 years in the industrial/steam generation industry.
  • Sales experience (2+ years required).
  • Preferred: Experience in industrial engineering or HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generators).
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Familiarity with proposal tools and sales practices.
