Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • You will complete approved modifications to functionality and user experience for systems using standard analysis and design techniques.
  • You will migrate system changes according to internal standards and according to change control procedures.
  • You will participate in the code review process on all changes that are to be deployed.
  • You will test and debug new or existing applications considering business logic and requirements and coordinate external testing with system owners.
  • You will intuitively design, implement, and maintain data driven applications using Microsoft.NET (C# language) specification.
  • You will create graphical user interfaces using responsive design principles which may include usage of JavaScript, CSS, SASS, LESS and graphical editing tools.
  • You will perform system maintenance and troubleshooting related to software service tickets.
  • You will test system modifications, communicate changes to users, and monitor system performance metrics to evaluate changes.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and work experience in the modification and maintenance of system programs, the design and development of system software, or the testing and debugging of system software. An associate or a bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or management information science or an associate degree and three years' experience in computer system development, modification, maintenance and/or computer programming; or a high school graduation and five years' experience in computer system development, modification, maintenance and/or computer programming.
  • Knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging and maintenance techniques and practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer programming languages.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work effectively with users, vendors and staff members.
  • Ability to plan, direct, instruct and review the work of technical personnel.
  • Knowledge of SQL Table and Query design.
  • Knowledge of how scripts, databases, CSS, and HTML fit into Web Development.
  • Familiar with markup languages (XML, HTML).
  • Needs a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Knowledge of the C# language syntax.
  • Experience with MSSQL.
  • Experience with JavaScript/JQuery.
  • Experience with HTML 5 and CSS 3.0.
  • Experience with the .NetFramework.

Other Requirements

  • Position works in an office environment with long hours of sitting.
  • May be required to bend, stoop, kneel and lift objects up to 75 lbs.
  • May be required to work outside of normal Agency business hours, such as evenings and weekends, to meet agency and customer service needs and demands.
