Job Summary:

Architects/participate in designing, [planning, coordinating, developing, and implementing windows based on web-based software applications. Oversees and/or assists in the building and maintenance of server software based on departmental and company needs. Develops software documents, users’ manuals, and instructs end-users in the usage of newly developed applications. Evaluates usage of existing systems and recommend changes to increase system usage and functionality.

Job Duties:

Participates in the development of new software programs or making modifications to existing software programs using Microsoft .NET framework’s latest version.  Performs software coding using C#NB.NET and writes C#VB.NET classes, methods, and structures.  Writes/develops software programs using MS Visual Studio/.NET framework platform.  Designs class diagrams in MS Visio or Visual Studio based on client requirements.  Writes software using Polymorphism and Inheritance in C#/Visual Basic.NET.  Develops exception handling for new and existing software programs.  Performs debugging of new or existing software within Visual Studio IDE.  Participates in the bug fixing of departments’ software projects with other team members.  Maintains and participates in bug fixing, issue tracking, requirements, and modifications of documents in SharePoint, TFS, or a combination of both.  Develops software using basic .NET Generics and Collections in any of Microsoft.NET framework languages preferable C# or VB.NET.  Writes client-side scripting for Web applications in JavaScript.  Confers and consults with supervisors and representatives of the department(s) to understand project requirements.  Creates requirements analysis/engineering document.  Develops web applications/sites using the latest versions of ASP.NET webforms/MVC.  Modifies ASP.NET Web Controls, themes, and Master pages.  Optimizes existing software applications for performance and usability.   Analyzes and reviews the UML and requirements engineering documents to create a basic architecture of new web/desktop applications.  Creates desktop UIs using Winforms/WPF within MS Visual Studio.  Coordinates with information technology staff to deploy secure software solutions for client department(s).  Promotes an awareness of the importance of data validity and data security.  Develops applications in Visual Studio in conjunction with T earn Foundation server.  Writes basic unit tests for new or existing programs using unit testing framework within Visual Studio or nUnit.  Coordinates with the supervisor and application support analyst to run projects using the Agile framework.  Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

No additional experience required.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should know Database software, Design software, Development software, Internet software, Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
