The Applications Administrator will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the suite of business applications that drive the Administrative Office of the Courts’ business operations, including contracting, human resources, court program management, and other business applications. The Application Administrator is responsible for system technical administration, maintenance, configuration, and IT support of complex enterprise-wide applications that address the business requirements of the state courts system.  This position provides journey-level technical expertise to all application administration functions.

WASHINGTON STATE RESIDENCY AND TELEWORK INFORMATION

 

AOC requires employees to reside in Washington State. Any exceptions must be approved. If you are invited to interview and currently reside outside of Washington State, seek more information about residency requirements from the AOC hiring manager of this recruitment.

This position requires at least two (2) days per week working onsite at AOC facilities


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collaborates with customers, business analysts, and other IT resources to administer application configuration, operation, maintenance, security, integrations, workflows, reports, and other key features.

·  Contributes to efforts to upgrade the applications this position supports.

· Resolves application configuration issues within critical applications.

· Consults with vendors on resolutions to identified issues.

· Responds to customer service requests and provides journey-level consulting and troubleshooting.

·  Resolves service requests of moderate (Tier 2) complexity related to assigned applications.

· Participates in the resolution of service requests of major (Tier 3) complexity related to assigned applications.

· Analyzes application issues, conducts research, and provides recommendations on solutions based on business and technical objectives.

· Administers IT applications and associated components in collaboration with the entire application support team.

·  Coordinates and performs validation and tests for all changes to application configuration, operation, security, workflows, reports, and other key features.

·  Communicates application problems and issues to technical staff and business end users.

·  Proactively monitors application performance to identify emerging issues.

·  Develops system release documentation and communication.

·  Performs end user application security access maintenance.

·  Formulates routines and standards of practice to complete assigned tasks.

·  Creates and maintains documentation for research and reference.

·  Performs other duties as required.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

A combination of education and experience demonstrating a working knowledge of the duties, responsibilities and competencies of the Application Administrator may substitute for the qualifications listed.


A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, OR closely allied field, AND

 

  • Four (4) years of experience in a complex information technology environment TO INCLUDE:

Three (3) years of experience as an administrator on an enterprise-level, complex application.

 

THE IDEAL APPLICANT WILL ALSO HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

· Experience with the administration of enterprise applications such as Docusign, NeoGov, FreshDesk, SumTotal, Salesforce, or any enterprise resource planning software system.

· Proficient in utilizing Microsoft 365 products, including Teams, Outlook, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, and others, with expertise appropriate to the responsibilities of the role.

· Basic knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operations system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

· Skill using process management tools, version control systems, web services, and/or automated build/deploy agents.

· Skills conducting triage and troubleshooting of application issues with server software, network and desktop software.

· Ability to develop system and process documentation and technical documentation for the end-users.

· Ability to follow flowcharted procedures to accomplish all aspects of critical tasks.

· Ability to write simple to moderately complex PowerShell scripts.
