Application Technical Specialist I Compensation

  • $17.00 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • 401(k) with company match is available after 1 year of service (on eligibility dates)

Application Technical Specialist I Highlights

  • Contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • On-site role in Smithfield, RI
  • 40 hours/week , 8-hour shifts (Mon–Fri) — shift times may fluctuate based on project needs (evening/night work and different time zones)
  • Paid training onsite 5 days/week ; training shifts will fall between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM

Application Technical Specialist I Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for field technicians/vendors during technology implementations and upgrades
  • Take inbound calls via a call queue and make outbound calls as needed (not a consumer/customer call center)
  • Update tracking applications, complete system validations, and document work clearly
  • Provide project updates via email and Excel when not actively handling calls
  • Support multiple rollout projects simultaneously and follow project implementation protocols

Application Technical Specialist I Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 1+ year of relevant work experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication (clear, accurate, tactful)
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Application Technical Specialist I Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Exposure to IT hardware installations / technology implementations (preferred, not required)
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities/projects and adapt to schedule changes
