Title: Application Support Manager
Duration: 6 months

Hours of Operation: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Join our dynamic team in the heart of New York, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting our FICC Trade Support activities for Commodity products. As part of our team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to regulatory and Bank policies while contributing to the introduction of new products, technology, or processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Product & Process
    • Execute assigned on-desk trade support activities timely and efficiently.
    • Book, validate, and amend trades, review discrepancies, and perform reconciliations.
    • Support resolution of discrepancies and escalate to management as required.
    • Participate in analysis, testing, and implementation activities for new initiatives.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders in support of FICC Trade Support Activities.
    • Compile risk metrics for management.
  • Risk & Control
    • Identify potential risk situations and escalate as required.
    • Ensure adherence to directives and internal processes to mitigate risk.
    • Comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.
    • Maintain confidentiality for customer and Bank information.
    • Contribute to testing and updating of contingency planning.
    • Ensure procedures and standards are documented and updated regularly.
  • Business Performance Management
    • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders.
    • Align individual performance goals to the team.

Knowledge and Skills

  • 3 years of business-related experience in the financial services industry
  • University Degree/College Diploma in related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Products including Commodities, Fixed Income, and Interest Rate Derivatives
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets and Regulatory oversight bodies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines independently or in a team-based environment
  • Strong investigation, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and sound judgment
  • Good organizational skills, highly motivated, and adaptable
  • Good understanding of business unit's risk and regulatory requirements
  • Good understanding of internal business partner's business, services, and organization
  • Knowledge of departmental systems and applications supporting a range of Financial Products
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
