JOB SUMMARY:

The Application Support Data Associate assists in maintaining the district's student information system and

supporting data systems.

This position focuses on data entry, quality, validation, and preparation to support reporting, analysis, and state

reporting requirements. The role works closely with the Data Analyst to ensure data accuracy and readiness for

district decision-making, along with other needs of the Application Support group.

This position works in collaboration with members of the Application Support group, under the guidance of the

Application Support Lead, all under the supervision of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and as part of the district's

Innovation Technology (IT) department.

This position does not include supervisory, evaluative, or disciplinary responsibility for personnel.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with maintaining data in the Student Information System and other district applications.
  • Collect, enter, and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the preparation of reports and data extracts for district and state reporting and serve as a backup

for state reporting functions, as needed.

  • Perform routine data quality checks and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with basic data queries and extraction using SQL or other tools to support reporting and analysis.
  • Organize and maintain data files, documentation, and reporting processes.
  • Respond to routine data requests from district staff.
  • Serve as a district contact for data interpretation and review.
  • Collaborate with the Application Support team and other departments as needed.

  • Maintain positive, professional, and effective working relationships with the public, district employees, and

students.

  • Perform job duties in accordance with district mission, vision, and policies.
  • Ability to recognize sensitive issues, work discreetly, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., basic sorting, basic filtering, basic formulas)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to learn and support new technology solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects concurrently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Student Information Systems (e.g., Infinite Campus).
  • Basic understanding of databases and familiarity with SQL (Structured Query Language) for querying and

working with data.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., advanced sorting, advanced filtering, advanced formulas).
  • Basic familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of a high school diploma is required. An associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field is

preferred. Demonstrated relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The majority of work is light to medium and requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; occasional

climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.

Physical requirements reflect general district job classifications; typical work for this role is primarily sedentary.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Anticipated start date: August 24, 2026, or as arranged.

Contract length: 12 Months. Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Wage: $26.07 per hour (Based on qualifications, education, and experience).
