Job Summary:
This role is responsible for translating customer technical requirements into product specifications, designing and validating new features, and developing custom mechanical components. It also includes maintaining technical documentation, providing on-site support, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful product implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and interpret customer mechanical, electrical, and software requirements
- Define internal specifications for new hardware and software features
- Test and validate product features to ensure alignment with customer expectations
- Develop product concepts, simulations, and custom mechanical designs
- Provide on-site system integration support and customer training
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve product performance and reliability issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, presentations, and release notes
- Develop project plans and timelines; participate in cross-functional team meetings
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks), MS Office, Adobe Suite, Python, and XML
- Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation
- Effective problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
- Professional, team-oriented, and customer-focused approach
Additional Requirements:
- Approximately 20% travel, including domestic and international (Asia)
Education:
- BS or MS in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (robotics/mechatronics preferred)
- Salary range, $95,000- $130,000
