Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (PA) - Nurse Practitioner - Medical Oncology, Physician Assistant - Medical Oncology
Job Details:
- Provide inpatient solid tumor advanced practice services in oncology specialty
- Full-time position working 40 hours per week with four 10-hour day shifts
- Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday coverage with holiday rotation
- Evaluate and treat patients with malignancies and disorders related to oncologic diagnoses
- Care for early phase clinical trial patients
- Perform initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments
- Order and interpret laboratory and radiology examinations
- Write appropriate prescriptions and determine treatment plans in coordination with multidisciplinary team
- Plan and conduct chemotherapy education in collaboration with pharmacy
- Participate in goals of care conversations and act as patient advocate
- Handle 4-8 patient encounters per shift in a 36-bed department
- Must be Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant with current North Carolina license
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required; CAQ certification preferred
