Opportunity:

Advanced Practice (PA) - Nurse Practitioner - Medical Oncology, Physician Assistant - Medical Oncology

Job Details:

  • Provide inpatient solid tumor advanced practice services in oncology specialty

  • Full-time position working 40 hours per week with four 10-hour day shifts

  • Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday coverage with holiday rotation

  • Evaluate and treat patients with malignancies and disorders related to oncologic diagnoses

  • Care for early phase clinical trial patients

  • Perform initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments

  • Order and interpret laboratory and radiology examinations

  • Write appropriate prescriptions and determine treatment plans in coordination with multidisciplinary team

  • Plan and conduct chemotherapy education in collaboration with pharmacy

  • Participate in goals of care conversations and act as patient advocate

  • Handle 4-8 patient encounters per shift in a 36-bed department

  • Must be Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant with current North Carolina license

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required

  • BLS certification required; CAQ certification preferred
