Position Summary UBMD Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine is seeking applicants for a per-diem APP Hospitalist. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) work with physicians to provide Hospitalist Service and inpatient clinical care. Will provide high-quality, effective patient care, timely hospital discharge, improving patient satisfaction and quality measures, as well as excellent communication with PCPs, patients, and families.

Responsibilities • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patients. • Working with administrative nursing, physician, and other staff to assure safe, effective, quality patient care. • Providing care within their scope of practice as outlined by applicable state law, licensing regulations, institutional policy, privileges, and practice agreements. • Maintaining accurate and complete patient records, completing documentation within expected timeframe, and submitting completed billing in a timely fashion. • Collaborating with physicians on designing and implementing appropriate plan of care for the patient or choosing appropriate treatment based on pre-determined protocols. • Any other duties as requested by collaborating physician, medical director, and/or division chief.

Minimum Qualifications

Current NYS license. Certified by the NYS Education Department as a PA or NP.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum two years experience with healthcare delivery. Previous experience in Hospitalist Medicine preferred.

Physical Demands

Salary Range $800 per day shift $950 per night shift per diem

Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting the role and associated responsibilities and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
