API Gateway/Platform Engineer
Wilmington, DE (5 days onsite)
Contract
- 8-10 years of experience in platform engineering, backend development
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for building microservices
- Experience designing and deploying RESTful APIs
- Practical experience with OAuth2/OIDC authorization frameworks
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing APIs through API Gateway solutions (AWS API Gateway, Kong, Apigee, or similar)
- Experience running and operating workloads on Kubernetes, ideally Amazon EKS
- Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with AWS
- Understanding of API security best practices (OAuth2)
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Nice to have - knowledge of Akamai GTM
