Apartment Maintenance Supervisor

BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Apartment Maintenance Supervisor to join a well-established multifamily community in Richmond, VA (23223). This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional ready to take the next step in leadership while maintaining high standards of property operations, safety, and resident satisfaction.
Position Overview
As the Apartment Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of maintenance operations for the community. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, organization, and customer service. You will be responsible for supervising maintenance staff, coordinating daily work orders, ensuring preventive maintenance is completed on schedule, and maintaining compliance with company and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and lead the maintenance team to ensure efficient daily operations
- Oversee completion of service requests, unit turns, and preventive maintenance
- Inspect property grounds, buildings, and systems to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance issues
- Coordinate vendor services and monitor contractor performance
- Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage maintenance budgets as needed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local codes, and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and collaborate with the property management team
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Senior Maintenance Technician in multifamily housing
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
- EPA Certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
