Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Apartment Maintenance Adjunct Instructor is responsible for training, mentoring, and developing current and aspiring apartment maintenance professionals. This role delivers hands-on and classroom instruction covering core multifamily maintenance skills, safety standards, troubleshooting, and best practices. The instructor ensures learners gain practical, job-ready knowledge while promoting professionalism, compliance, and high standards of property care. This position may also assist with curriculum development, assessments, and ongoing program improvement to meet industry and organizational needs.
Part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of related occupational experience.
Additional Considerations- Knowledge of instructional technology applications, such as the Canvas learning management system..
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse student populations.
