We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly organized AP Specialist to join our thriving team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing purchase orders, vendor relations, and financial reporting.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Managing the full cycle of Accounts Payable processes, including matching, batching, and coding invoices, preparing and performing check runs, and processing electronic transfers and payments.
2. Generating, reviewing, and maintaining Purchase Orders for the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. Collaborating with the procurement team to resolve invoice discrepancies and conducting thorough vendor statement reconciliations.
4. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to AP.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of systems and procedures to enhance productivity and performance in the AP department.
6. Ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and maintaining accurate records and control reports.
7. Responding to vendor inquiries regarding invoice and payment issues and maintaining positive vendor relations.
8. Assisting with internal and external audits as required, providing necessary information and documentation.
9. Staying updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the role.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in generating and managing Purchase Orders.
3. Excellent knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong skills in Excel.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, data analysis, and multi-currency transactions.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
6. High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
7. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
