Kforce has a client in Bethesda, MD that is seeking an AP Manager. Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, expense reports, and reconciliations. This role manages AP staff, maintains strong internal controls, and supports month-end close activities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounts payable operations and payment processing
  • Manage and develop AP team members
  • Review invoice coding, approvals, and vendor payments for accuracy
  • Reconcile AP accounts and assist with month-end and year-end close
  • Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, reconciliations, and internal controls
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
