Century Group is in search of an experienced AP Accountant to join a team in Colorado Springs. Qualified candidates with 3+ years of accounting experience are encouraged to apply. Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $30 to $40 per hour.

Job Description:

  • Reviewing invoices for accuracy
  • Processing invoices
  • Obtaining approval for payment
  • Coding invoice to correct vendor and General Ledger account
  • Scans and files invoices and documents
  • Determining what vendor class to use
  • Entering new vendors into database
  • Preparing information for 1099-MISC Forms to IRS
  • Tracking W9's by contacting vendors, following up on missing forms, and entering
  • Support Staff Accountant with A/R and A/P entries, schedules, and payments as needed
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects as needed
Requirements:
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
