AP Accountant Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification is a plus
  • At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience with cost accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and accounting practices
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (such as ACPAC, QuickBooks, and Excel)
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (Professional Working Proficiency)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality

AP Accountant Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Process, code, and verify invoices ensuring accuracy and timely payment
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date records of transactions and outgoing payments
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for review
  • Support accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable functions
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily and cross-reference system balances
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Track and report on capital expenditures and fixed assets
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives
