Position: AOI Inspector

Role Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous AOI Inspector to join our team. This critical role involves utilizing Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) technology to ensure the highest quality standards are met in our production processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality assurance, with an aptitude for interpreting assembly drawings and adhering to IPC-A-610 standards. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our products through thorough in-line quality checks and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze AOI machine outputs to identify and segregate defective products efficiently.
• Comprehend and follow work instructions, bills of materials, and assembly drawings.
• Conduct quality inspections at each stage of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process.
• Provide backup support for evaluating solder prints and machine component placements.
• Identify operational or component issues and communicate them promptly.
• Foster collaborative communication with colleagues across all levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the SMT area.
• Contribute to team objectives by undertaking additional tasks as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small objects.
• Training in ESD safety and IPC-A-610 standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in tasks.
• Experience with assembling or inspecting products using a microscope.
• Ability to remain alert and work at a consistent pace in a safe manner.
• Proficiency in performing intermediate computer tasks.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Capability to sit or stand at workstations for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
