Wareham Public Schools seeks a Certified Preschool Teacher for the 2026-27 school year.

  • Seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, to provide specialized instruction to children ages 3-5 in our substantially separate preschool settings for the 2026-27 school year, for a leave of absence.
  • Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that meets diverse learning needs while maintaining a safe, structured classroom environment
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct student assessments to determine functional capabilities and make informed placement recommendations
  • Foster strong partnerships with families, teachers, instructional assistants, and therapists
  • Participate in IEP meetings
  • Maintain accurate, confidential student records and documentation
  • Research and implement evidence-based interventions and teaching strategies, follow district curricula for Math and ELA
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and team collaboration organization and structure of his/her assigned classroom
  • Works collaboratively with other teachers, instructors, coordinators, and administration to support the overall needs of the students.
  • Plans and supervises the classroom schedule and staff.
  • Coordinates the schedules of all ancillary personnel involved in the classroom.
  • Keeps open and ongoing communication with each child''s interdisciplinary team members.
  • Identifies needed materials and equipment under educational plans.
  • Responsible for the education of each student consistent with the goals and objectives of the IEP.
  • Ongoing assessment of each student''s functioning level.
  • Draft IEP and progress notes.
  • Completion and distribution of progress notes, detailing each student''s progress towards meeting their IEP goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by the principal, administration, or the superintendent of schools.
