Anticipated Head Girls Basketball Coach at Thrall High School

Thrall Independent School District is seeking a passionate, high-energy leader to serve as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Thrall High School. We are looking for a coach who is committed to building a highly competitive program, developing young men of character, and creating a culture of excellence both on and off the court.

Position: Head Girls Basketball Coach

Teaching Field: High School History or High School Business/Marketing

Additional Duties: A second sport is required and will be assigned based on best fit and candidate strengths

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of the Thrall Girls Basketball Program
  • Develop and implement a year-round program focused on player development, culture, discipline, and competitiveness
  • Build strong relationships with student-athletes, staff, parents, and the Thrall community
  • Work collaboratively with coaches and administration to align athletic and academic success
  • Ensure compliance with all UIL, district, and campus expectations
  • Promote leadership, accountability, and character development in student-athletes

Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to developing the whole student-athlete
  • Previous coaching experience preferred
  • CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
