About this role:Ā 

This is an exciting opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys bringing projects to life and making a measurable impact. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, the Annual Giving Associate serves as a key contributor to Sacramento State’s annual giving efforts by coordinating fundraising campaigns, managing donor engagement activities, supporting data and reporting functions, and ensuring operational excellence across annual giving initiatives.Ā 

Working closely with annual giving and advancement professionals, this role will help execute multichannel fundraising campaigns, support donor stewardship efforts, coordinate Athletics annual giving activities, and provide the operational backbone that helps fundraising programs succeed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing project coordination, relationship management, data analysis, and communications in a mission-driven environment.Ā 

Experience You Will BringĀ 

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant professional experience.Ā AdditionalĀ qualifying experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.Ā Ā 
  • Experience in administrative support, communications, project coordination, customer service, or related functions, preferably within a nonprofit, higher education, or mission-driven environment.Ā Ā 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.Ā Ā 
  • Experience coordinating projects,Ā maintainingĀ records, tracking deliverables, and supporting operational workflows.Ā Ā 
  • Ability to analyze information,Ā identifyĀ discrepancies, and produce reports that support decision-making.Ā Ā 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse audiences.Ā Ā 
  • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information.Ā Ā 
  • ProficiencyĀ with Microsoft Office and other standard business applications, along with the ability to learn advancement and CRM systems.Ā Ā 
  • Ability to work independently while following established policies, procedures, and guidelines.Ā Ā 
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for students, alumni, donors, faculty, staff, and community members.Ā Ā 
  • Ability toĀ workĀ occasional evenings and weekends with advance notice.Ā Ā 
  • Ability to work in person on campus.Ā Ā

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • Bachelor’s degree.Ā Ā 
  • Exposure toĀ fundraising, advancement, marketing, donor relations, or nonprofit communications through professional, internship, or volunteer experience.Ā Ā 
  • Experience working with a constituent database, CRM, or donor management system.Ā Ā 
  • Event planning or event coordination experience.Ā Ā
