Join Our Team as a PC/Laptop Imaging & Deployment Technician!
Are you a tech-savvy professional looking for an exciting opportunity in the heart of Annapolis, MD? Join Anne Arundel County's dynamic IT team for a 6-month hardware refresh initiative. This fully onsite role offers you the chance to work in a professional government environment, where you'll be instrumental in deploying and configuring new Dell laptops and desktop PCs across various county office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Image and deploy Dell laptops and desktop PCs using county-approved tools and processes.
- Transport and set up equipment across Anne Arundel County office locations using a provided county vehicle.
- Retire and document old hardware units during the refresh process.
- Install software packages and assist end users with new equipment familiarization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with IT staff to prioritize and schedule deployments.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in hardware refresh or large-scale PC deployment projects.
- Hands-on experience with PC/laptop imaging tools such as MDT, SCCM/MECM.
- Proficiency in deploying and configuring Dell hardware.
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferences:
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical certification.
- Experience in government, public sector, or enterprise IT environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and ITSM ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of BitLocker or other disk encryption solutions.
- Experience with Dell-specific tools and Microsoft 365/Office suite.
