About Central Kentucky Sedation: Central Kentucky Sedation is a dedicated, office-based dental anesthesia team committed to improving access to safe, high-quality care for children across the state. Our mission is to serve the children of Kentucky with compassion and excellence, helping reduce wait times—often exceeding 12 months—for essential dental procedures.

 

We provide anesthesia services directly in pediatric dental offices, offering a safe, convenient, and cost-effective solution for patients and providers alike. Currently, our clinical teams serve 12 pediatric dental practices across Central Kentucky, and we continue to grow to meet the significant demand for care in the region.

 

About the Opportunity: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Anesthesiologist to join our care team. This role is in the Corbin, Kentucky area delivering anesthesia services to ASA I and ASA II pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will lead a dedicated 3-person care team, which includes a paramedic and a registered nurse, ensuring the highest standard of care in every setting.

 

About the Position:

Full-time position, working 4-5 days a week

Average of 5-8 cases per day (solo cases) with ASA 1 and 2 patients

Workdays are usually 5-7 hours per day depending on case load

Travel reimbursement provided as appropriate

A Day In The Life Of :

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct pre-operative assessments, including evaluating medical history and physical examinations.

· Evaluate patients preoperatively and develop individualized anesthesia plans.

· Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during dental procedures. · Oversee post-operative care

· Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding anesthesia procedures and care.

· Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

· Travel to various pediatric dental offices to provide anesthesia services, adapting to different environments.

· Stay updated with the latest practices and innovations in anesthesia.

What You'll Bring To The Table :

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Anesthesiologist
  • MD or DO degree
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Kentucky
  • Pediatric experience required
