Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience as an anesthesia technician, ideally within a Level 1 trauma center
- Graduate of an approved anesthesia technology program or accredited training in anesthesia technology
- National certification as an Anesthesia Technologist (ASATT)
- Current CPR/BLS certification prior to work site entry
- Proficiency in reprocessing techniques, aseptic and sterile procedures, and setting up/assisting with sterile trays
- Knowledge of various anesthesia machines and troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to assist with invasive procedures such as arterial lines, CVC placement, and thermo dilution
- Familiarity with infection control practices related to anesthesiology equipment and supplies
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a Level 1 trauma or similar high-acuity center
- Additional certifications or training in advanced invasive procedures
- Strong organizational skills for supply management and room turnover
- Ability to adapt to various makes and models of anesthesia equipment
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited anesthesia technology program
- 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in a high-volume, complex hospital environment
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work scheduled shifts during days and evenings, 8-hour shifts
- Valid licensure, certification, and successful passage of pre-employment health screening
- Willingness to travel if required, with travel and related reimbursements provided where applicable
- Must adhere to all infection control and safety standards
