Job Summary and Qualifications

Anesthesia Technician

We are currently seeking a dedicated Anesthesia Technician to join our fast-paced Surgical Services team on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will prepare anesthesia instruments, equipment, supplies, and drugs for use throughout the Surgical Services area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Set up lines and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Troubleshoot anesthesia machinery
  • Assist with insertion of lines, intubation and pain blocks
  • Stock anesthesia carts, assist with inventory control of supplies and pharmaceuticals
  • Gather data for Quality Improvement
  • Support nursing staff as needed
  • Assist with decontamination and cleaning processes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician preferred
  • Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching and lifting of 25 lbs.
