Job Summary and Qualifications

The Anesthesia Technician provides support services for the Anesthesiologist, Registered Nurses and other medical staff working on the anesthesia team. The commitment to service, safety and professionalism is critical to achieving the best experience for our patients. Come join our team of dedicated professionals that are committed to delivering the best patient care. 

What you will Do in this role:  

• You will set up and maintain anesthesia machine and equipment, pressure lines, gas cylinders, organize supplies, applying principles of asepsis and other appropriate guidelines under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. 
• You will ensure minimal delays in surgical schedule as a result of transport, room turnover or equipment management. 
• You will assist in patient transfer to and from bed and transport devices using effective body mechanics and patient safety assistive devices such as roller boards, slide boards, gait belt and lift sheet.  

What qualifications you will need: 

• BLS certification required and maintained.  
• 6 months to 1 year in a health care setting preferred. Experience in respiratory or surgical setting preferred.
