ANCA Operator with Set-Up - Carbide (2nd shift)

Ingersoll's US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for a ANCA Operator with Set-Up (Carbide Operations).

Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Set up, operate and troubleshoot Anca CNC 5 axis grinders.
  • Conduct complete set-ups including work holding, wheel packs, auto/robotic parts loading, program loading and offset/editing.
  • Responsible for 1st part inspection and ongoing process audits ensuring conformance to applicable standards.
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, standards while working to applicable process protocols/procedures.
  • Supports process development/definition as required.
  • Works in Team Environment.
  • Quality assurance and labor reporting via Windows based computer systems.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Work OT and weekends as required.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years carbide CNC grinding experience with demonstrated set up capability.
  • Previous experience grinding carbide end mills preferred with basic understanding of critical features/geometry.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including geometric tolerances.
  • Ability to utilize Zoller POM and Genius for inspection of carbide round tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Intermediate math skills: Addition, subtraction of decimals; Metric to English conversion; complete right-angle trigonometry.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience creating process/operational procedures a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Trade school experience a plus.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work well independently, as well as with others, in a team environment. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.

The Salary range for this position is $22-30/hr.

This is a 2nd shift position with mandatory overtime as needed. 2nd shift hours - 2-10pm.
