    Description

    Facility Safety & Compliance:

    • Maintain the gross anatomy lab (AHSC 3105) in sanitary, operational, and instruction-ready condition consistent with health and safety standards.
    • Coordinate facility maintenance, equipment servicing, and biohazardous waste disposal for the gross anatomy lab (AHSC 3105) in compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor downdraft table airflow monthly and arrange corrective repairs to maintain safe operating conditions.
    • Coordinate annual safety inspections and biennial floor cleanings for the gross anatomy lab.
    • Monitor audiovisual equipment functionality and report deficiencies for resolution.
    • Maintain inventory of lab tools, equipment, consumables, PPE, key fluids, cleaning supplies, and first aid materials.

    Anatomical Specimen & Donor Management:

    • Safeguard the storage, preservation, and integrity of anatomical models, prosections, and legacy collections.
    • Monitor donor storage conditions and initiate maintenance to preserve specimen integrity.
    • Develop and maintain a digital catalog of anatomical resources in collaboration with the Anatomy and WBP Directors.
    • Coordinate the placement, staging, and removal of donors, prosections, and models for scheduled learning activities in collaboration with the Anatomy and WBP Directors.
    • Support donor transport for anatomy learning activities.

    Lab Access & Usage:

    • Administer lab security badge access in collaboration with the Anatomy and WBP Directors and audit access records monthly.
    • Monitor lab usage and report professional conduct concerns to the Anatomy Director.

    Event Coordination & Instructional Support:

    • Maintain the scheduling calendar for gross anatomy lab events and activities (AHSC 3105) across MD, Allied Health, and outreach programs.
    • Coordinate with faculty to prepare printed materials and PPE for MD, Allied Health, and CMM lab sessions, independent study courses (CMM 899), and outreach.
    • Assemble and distribute instructional toolkits and equipment for lab learning activities.
    • Participate in monthly coordination meetings with the Director of Anatomy.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple individuals/groups.
    • Ability to work in a team-based setting.
    • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information.
    • Ability to plan logistics for multiple events a week.
    • Ability to organize and maintain large volumes of information such as equipment or specimen inventories.
