Anatomic Pathology Manager - Oklahoma City OK - Monday-Friday 800AM-500PM
Pay Range: $84,250 per year Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities
Manages laboratory reporting workflow, maintains staffing levels to accommodate the workload, and monitors employee performance. Provides assistance in feedback to managers and personnel related to performance review and staffing issues. Manages the planning and development for new laboratory services and expansion of current services. Suggests changes in working conditions and develops and establishes measures to improve efficiency and performance of services.
Recommends, develops, and establishes measures to improve the quality of services provided by the practice. Develops and implements proactive changes to improve laboratory performance and efficiency. Assesses new techniques, procedures, and instrumentation, attends professional meetings, and remains appraised of changes in the field.
Ensures that plans and strategies to support research efforts are maintained. Prepares reports and keeps upper-level management informed of progress and problems. Records and monitors laboratory quality assurance and quality control, taking appropriate action as needed. Maintains all necessary documentation and current logs.
Conducts laboratory informational and training meetings, including compliance and safety. Performs or coordinates the identification, development, implementation, and maintenance of organization information privacy policies and procedures in coordination with the privacy officer. Coordinates with all applicable resources, including legal counsel, management, key departments, and committees, to ensure the organization has and maintains appropriate forms and notices.
Assesses new techniques, procedures, and instrumentation, attends professional meetings, and remains appraised of changes in the field. Maintains knowledge of technical and clerical procedures and ensures delivery of such by laboratory personnel. Monitors and maintains supplies, expense usage, and inventory. Manages vendor relationships and negotiates pricing.
Responsible for both personnel and facility licensure, which is kept current at all times. Maintains and coordinates credentialing with LicensureCredentialing Specialist. Documents and completes all special projects in a timely fashion. Assists in preparation of laboratory inspections.
Complies with all State, Federal, professional regulations, as well as department rules, policies, and procedural manuals. Adheres to Safety Regulations. Adheres to HIPAA Regulations. Processes and maintains applications and fees for renewing facility licensure, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) numbers, College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation, and city and county occupational licenses.
Qualifications
Required Work Experience: 7 years of experience in an Operations/Laboratory environment

Physical and Mental Requirements
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the various medical specialties as required in areas of responsibility. Knowledge of the licensure process.
