    Responsibilities

    Under general supervision of the Laboratory Director, Pathologist, and Histology Manager, the Anatomic Pathology Assistant will perform the following job duties:

    • Computer accessioning of surgical, cytology, and flow cytometry specimens in Cerner, Star, Copia
    • Exceptional customer service with outside physicians' offices and medical staff
    • Fax and scan documents
    • Schedule frozen section procedures
    • Monitor, maintain, and fill supply orders for AP clients
    • Order specimen pick-ups and send-outs with lab couriers
    • Cytology processing, when needed

    Schedule

    FTE: 1.0

    Hours: 8:00am-4:30am

    Days: Monday-Friday

    Qualifications

    Education

    Required: High School/GED

    Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience

    Required: 1-3 years' related experience. Medical terminology knowledge, familiarity with ICD-9/10, and CPT codes.
