SUMMARY:
Support the development and continual improvement of tools, policies, and procedures around pricing and contract management, with a primary emphasis on the review, interpretation, and administration of customer agreements. Review and redline contracts, evaluate terms for compliance, and partner with Sales to bring agreements to executable form. Perform price modeling in order to optimize profit and meet financial and corporate growth objectives. Evaluate effectiveness of pricing strategies and contract structures to ensure the optimization of profitability and compliance of each contract.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Analyze, evaluate, model, and implement pricing to improve profitability within compliance guidelines of contract, working with internal and external customers to execute.
- Engage with sales to create & implement new customer pricing structures/slips/rebates.
- Load pricing into Epicor and communicate with sales, customer, E-Commerce team
- Provides support and makes recommendations to sales representatives, directors, and vice presidents regarding RFP's, contracts, pricing.
- Analyzes rebates for margin improvement opportunities and interacts with field, suppliers, category managers, and customers to implement.
- Provides direction and recommendations to sales teams regarding the annual customer price change process
- Evaluate and implement general discount structures
- Engage with E-Commerce team to ensure all B2B requirements are understood & implemented for quarterly catalog updates
- Help guide sales team in setting strategic prices in the market, implement pricing improvement programs, and track financial impact
- Identify, validate, and quantify pricing improvement opportunities utilizing Power BI dashboards
- Provide subject matter expertise to sales teams on pricing strategy and implementation.
- Provide analysis and technical support for pricing initiatives that include setting list prices and determine customer specific discounts
- Perform ad hoc data analysis and reports for business units around customer, products, and vendors dynamics
- Review, interpret, and redline customer contracts, amendments, addendums, and renewals, escalating non-standard terms and flagging risk language for finance and Senior Manager of pricing review
- Read, summarize, and clearly communicate contractual obligations, pricing locks, term durations, and renewal triggers to internal stakeholders
- Evaluate existing contracts for compliance issues and owns resolution process with sales internal customers
- Maintain contracts database and house all fully executed agreements
- Evaluates and implements updates to contracts based on corporate driven changes and initiatives (price change from supplier).
- Analyzes complex pricing agreements to make sure the agreement can be implemented and supported with 100% compliance prior to finalization.
- Manage and track Co-Op participating addendums
- Manage contract reporting requirements and admin fee payments to ensure compliance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration required; coursework or concentration in Finance, Economics, Pre-Law, or a related field is a plus
- 5+ years applicable experience
- Prior experience in pricing, contract management and/or finance preferred
- Deep understanding of pricing strategies and execution methodologies for a lab distribution business
- Paralegal experience or formal exposure to contract law, contract lifecycle management, or legal/contract administration strongly preferred
- Comfortable reading, interpreting, and redlining contracts - able to work through dense legal and commercial language, identify obligations and risks, and translate terms into actionable business requirements
- Detail oriented, organized, and analytical. Has the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to drive projects and activities to successful conclusion, operating with a high sense of urgency
- Excellent analytical capabilities including Excel, Power BI, and relational database skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with broad general guidance against a framework of defined business objectives
