Job Description and Duties

THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.

This position is considered "hybrid" with on-site work four days a week at 1416 9th Street and telework one day a week, on average, dependent on operational needs. Currently, the required in-office day is Tuesday.

Do you excel at bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions? Are you passionate about supporting teams with technology and driving successful outcomes? As an IT liaison, you'll help staff navigate their technical challenges and find creative ways to improve business processes using SharePoint and other collaboration tools.

The EDD Workforce Services Branch (WSB) is seeking dynamic candidates to apply for an Analyst I/Analyst II position in the Business Systems Analysis Unit within the Central Office Workforce Services Division. In this role, you will serve as a vital liaison between the Workforce Services Branch (WSB) and the Information Technology Branch (ITB), ensuring effective communication and support for WSB's technology needs.

As an IT Liaison and SharePoint Administrator, you will:

  • Manage and maintain SharePoint sites to streamline collaboration and enhance productivity for WSB staff.
  • Analyze and review service requests for accuracy and compliance, and use this information to manage the branch's asset inventory, creating a clear and real-time picture of asset allocation across the branch.
  • Play a key role in implementing technology solutions that meet business needs.

You'll be part of a collaborative, customer-focused team that values innovation, organization, and clear communication. Whether you're helping troubleshoot an issue, guiding a project through implementation, or ensuring compliance with IT standards, you'll be making a direct impact on the success of WSB. If you're ready to grow your career, develop new competencies, and make a meaningful difference, this is the role for you!

About WSB:

The Workforce Services Branch (WSB) administers the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Wagner-Peyser (W-P) programs which prepare adults, youth, and dislocated workers for participation in the workforce and brings employers with job openings together with qualified job seekers. The WSB is comprised of three Field Divisions which directly deliver services to the public across California: Los Angeles/Coastal Division, Northern Division, and Southern Division. The WSB's Central Office Workforce Services Division supports EDD staff in the field and provides program guidance to WIOA-funded partners located throughout California. The Deputy Director's office oversees the Branch personnel program, risk management program, statewide workforce initiatives and participates in the development of policy and funding strategies in support of the workforce system.

WSB Mission: California's workforce system supports economic vitality by connecting people, training, and work.

As a state employee, you potentially have access to excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement and savings plans, the Employee Assistance Program and more! In addition to these benefits, you'll receive regular paid leave, Professional Development Days, a Personal Holiday, paid State Holidays, and potential annual raises. See the California State Employee Benefits Summary for more information.
