Pricing Support Analyst

The Pricing Support team manages a high-volume operational workload, processing approximately 2,800 pricing requests each month with a team of three analysts. The team uses a proprietary Pricing Generator and is actively implementing Oracle CPQ to streamline and automate pricing workflows.

The group works closely with Sales and cross-functional partners to maintain disciplined, scalable processes that support accuracy, compliance, and timely deal execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pricing Analysis, Proposal Development & Strategy Support
  • Provide pricing analysis and recommendations to support sales efforts, pricing strategy, business objectives, and long-term client value.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate pricing proposals for Sales, Relationship Managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments and enhancements aligned with business goals, client value, and broader product pricing considerations.
  • Gather and incorporate internal feedback to improve pricing proposals, workflows, and processes.
  • Operational Execution & Workflow Management
  • Manage daily pricing request intake and support end-to-end processing, including validation, configuration, pricing generation, and proposal packaging.
  • Ensure pricing proposals meet established operational standards for quality, accuracy, compliance, and turnaround times.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate and divisional pricing rules, controls, guidelines, and documentation requirements.
  • Manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
  • Quality Control & Pricing Governance
  • Conduct detailed quality reviews of pricing proposals to confirm accuracy, discount alignment, SKU accuracy, credit application, and consistency with pricing guidelines.
  • Identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies and take corrective action to prevent downstream operational issues.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining clean, complete, accurate, and compliant pricing records within pricing systems and shared repositories.
  • Systems, Tools & Process Improvement
  • Generate pricing using the proprietary Pricing Generator and support readiness for Oracle CPQ workflows.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and feedback cycles related to Pricing Generator updates, Oracle CPQ enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Support training initiatives related to pricing tools, proposal processes, and workflow changes.
  • Identify recurring operational issues and recommend process refinements that improve consistency, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as a liaison to Sales, Product Solutions, Product Consultants, Legal, Contract Administration, Billing, Finance, and Business Units to resolve pricing issues and ensure deal accuracy.
  • Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders on pricing status, required inputs, blockers, and next steps.
  • Partner with Product Consultants to ensure pricing tables, rate cards, and SKUs are accurate and current.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of pricing experience.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts, business acumen, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workload, competing priorities, and deadlines efficiently.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • High degree of accuracy, confidentiality, dependability, flexibility, adaptability, and judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle CPQ experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with pricing tools, proposal workflows, pricing systems, or quote-to-cash processes.
  • Experience supporting Sales or Relationship Managers with pricing proposals, pricing updates, or pricing process improvements.
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, process-driven, cross-functional pricing environment.
