Job Summary
Perform a variety of standardized laboratory tests used in the quality assurance, research, and development of products, formulations, and applications.
As a Laboratory Support Technician, you will sample and prepare finished product for testing, perform lab test for raw and finished materials based on the specification and inspection plan developed for each individual product. Keep area cleaned and sanitized to prevent contamination.
Aseptically prepare samples of finished product for laboratory testing.
Perform chemical and physical analysis of raw and finished products based on written procedures.
Perform daily verification of the equipment and maintenance on test equipment assigned.
Assure all retained samples are identified and properly stored.
Prepare reagents, media and supplies for testing, as needed.
Perform basic aseptic techniques.
Assist with special projects.
Use computerized inventory management system and Microsoft Excel for the input and retrieval of data.
Maintain laboratory housekeeping and completion of master sanitation schedule.
Utilize appropriate Safety and Food Safety Practices while performing job function.
Other functions related to Quality Control and the advancements of IFF within the Quality organization.
Job requirements
The following are required:
Experience using aseptic sampling and testing technique.
Experience working in GMP regulated facility.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hardhat, hearing protection eyewear.
Willing and able to lift/move 50lbs, climb stairs and ladders, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, utilize visual acuity, reach overhead.
