Analyst I, Master Data

Overall Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring that business-critical data is accurately entered, maintained and transmitted between internal and external business partners. Data accuracy is essential to ensure a single trusted view of enterprise data that results in an optimal customer experience. This role is responsible for monitoring and managing data requests primarily through business requests, while maintaining required Service Level Agreements. This role is also responsible for maintaining up-to-date standard operating procedures, policies, supporting the data quality program, and audit requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Manage and execute workflows as requested for one or more of the following domains including but not limited to Item (SKUs), Merchandising Vendor, Expense Vendor, Location and Customer Master Data setup and maintenance with oversight and support.
  • Partner with operational areas, including Merchandising, Ecommerce, Customer Service Center, Help Desk, Inventory Management, Logistics, Tax and Licensing, Real Estate, IT, and external vendors to resolve issues and answer Enterprise Data related inquiries. Appropriately escalate issues to ensure resolution.
  • Assist with governance and quality assurance of data elements by monitoring systems and reports, propose system and/or process enhancements and participate in testing.
  • Serve as a consultant to internal and external business partners by providing recommendations to enhance collection, integrity and strengths of their data sets.
  • Enterprise data creation/maintenance within internal systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 2 years of experience working in a business environment with data processes and systems. Entry-level knowledge of SAP, OMS, E3, Business Objects, Spotfire, TIBCO, Adobe suite, Digital Asset Mgmt tools, etc. is a plus. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Access, & Outlook preferred

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or data related field from an accredited college or university is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Ability to interpret, perform and respond to data requests, providing excellent customer service, and work within required Service Level Agreements
  • Ability to analyze pre-defined reports, perform error resolution, and make business decisions
  • Knowledge of reporting, analytics, problem solving, and quality management is preferred
  • Experience working in an Omni-channel company that has both e-commerce and traditional storefront presence is a plus
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Reporting knowledge preferred
  • Customer service focused with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve tactical problems in relation to standard processes
  • Ability to achieve error resolution on predefined reports
