Onward Energy is seeking a FP&A Analyst with experience in performing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that support corporate decisions. Utilize both quantitative and qualitative analysis of operations to evaluate the company’s progress toward achieving its strategic goals and to map out future goals and plans. In this role, you must be comfortable working under deadlines and with individuals at all levels in the organization.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
THE PROFILE TO SUCCEED
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, MBA, and/or CFA designation is a plus. One (1) – Three (3) years of relevant experience in Power/Energy, Finance, Banking and/or Consulting.
Experience with debt compliance (debt coverage ratios), general understanding of contracts/contract language.
Strong competencies in FP&A analysis, critical thinking, and a desire to understand the big picture.
Ability to perform deep analysis to interpret data to understand the “Why?”
Functional knowledge and competencies in modeling and project finance are a plus.
Proficient with MS Office suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint), and budget planning software, ERP systems (Adaptive Planning, Hyperion, Workday, SAP, etc.).
Ability to understand GAAP and corporate accounting policies & procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work cross-functionally and with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Keen multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills; attention to detail.

The position functions in a smoke and vaping-free professional office environment. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptop computer, phone, and scanner/photocopier.
