Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an Analyst/Developer Specialty 3 (Application Operations Tier 2 Support). The work will be done onsite or hybrid (2 days onsite, with potential for full-time onsite) in either Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL. This is a long-term position (12 months) that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $68/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking an experienced Analyst/Developer to support application operations and Tier 2 support for cloud-based systems in a high-availability environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting application issues, resolving support tickets, and improving system performance through monitoring and automation. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes, implement solutions, and enhance application reliability. This position offers exposure to modern cloud technologies, automation tools, and enterprise-scale systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Triage and resolve application support tickets in accordance with defined service level agreements
Investigate and troubleshoot critical application and technical issues, including off-hours support as needed
Monitor application availability and performance, identifying and resolving system issues proactively
Develop scripts and automation tools to detect, prevent, and resolve application issues
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to document solutions and improve system reliability
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or technical certification with equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
57 years of experience in application support or software engineering within cloud-based environments
Experience supporting applications built on technologies such as AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), JavaScript, Angular, or Spring Boot
Experience working with Azure App Services, APIs, and SQL Server databases
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and system performance analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, App Insights, or ThousandEyes
Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or application performance optimization
Experience with automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, SQL, JSON)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (ADO or similar frameworks)
Experience working in high-availability, enterprise-scale environments
